Appointments

Call us at (951) 600 9093 to schedule an appointment. We offer same day appointments for sick visits.

We strongly recommend making your next appointment at each well child visit. We try to accommodate well child visits and physicals as early as possible within a time frame of two weeks. Please call and check with the office about any cancellations to get an earlier available date.

For your convenience, we do provide Saturday appointments for physicals and sick visits. Please call the office for current dates and availabilities for sick visits.

Dr.Pillai is available 24 hrs 7 days on her cell phone to answer your after hour and weekend calls. She will advise you if your child needs to be seen at local urgent care or emergency room depending on your child's condition. Dr.Pillai strongly recommends consulting with her prior to taking your child to urgent care or ER. Your doctor will follow up your child next business day for continuity of care.

Patient Referrals

Need Based

Our referral coordinator will provide you with appropriate referrals once approved and recommended by Dr. Pillai. Please allow us 24 to 72 hours for stat referrals and 2 weeks for routine referrals. Our staff will contact you by phone or email with referral information as soon as they are approved in a timely manner. You can also pick up referrals from the office at your convenience.

Please keep in mind that referral facilities and specialists depend on your insurance at the time of refering.

Please be aware that our local hospitals do not have pediatric inpatient admitting services at the present time. Dr.Pillai recommends Rady Childrens Hospital in San Diego, Loma Linda Medical Center, Redlands and Children's Hospital and Orange County Pediatric Inpatient Services if your child needs to be admitted.

Dr.Pillai and her staff will make arrangements with corresponding facilities to make sure that admission is easy and smooth at your family comfort level.

Billing & Insurance

We accept all major insurances

Billing is done in a timely manner at our office and statements will be sent to the patients. Please call our office and speak to our billing department if you have any questions or concerns. Patient payments such as copays are expected to be paid at the time of services being rendered. Please check your insurance eligibility and bring your current insurance card at the time.

Keep in mind to inform the receptionist if there is any change in your insurance carrier from your previous visit.

PRENATAL VISITS

A Prenatal Visit is recommended for parents who are at high risk, for first time parents and for those who request a conference. The prenatal visit will include discussion regarding mom's medical history, pregnancy history, anticipated complications if any, hospital stay and a discussion of benefits of breast feeding and planned method of feeding. Dr.Pillai recommends a tour of your corresponding hospital prior to the delivery to get yourself familiarised in advance.

NEWBORN VISITS

Dr. Pillai will examine your baby at the corresponding hospital within 24 hours after birth if you choose her to be your baby's pediatrician . Dr.Pillai recommends every infant should have an evaluation within 3 to 5 days of birth and within 48 to 72 hours after discharge from the hospital, to include evaluation for feeding , jaundice and weight checks. breast feeding infants will receive formal breast feeding evaluation, encouragement and instructions as recommneded by american academy of pediatrics .

WELL CHILD VISITS

Well Child Care is one of the hallmarks of a family-centered medical home. Dr. Pillai considers herself as part of your family and she and her courteous, efficient staff will care your children as if they were our own.

Monthly Tips

Dr.Pillai strongly recommends annual influenza vaccinations every flu season starting from September through April. Please call our office to enquire about our flu clinics conducted regularly every year during evening hours for your convenience.

Dr.Pillai strongly believes in preventive health care and she will provide health maintenance and disease prevention tips every month for the safety and well being of your child.

Dr.Pillai and her staff are happy and proud to have our electronic medical records system implemented to better serve our patients. This efficient system will allow us immediate access to patient information in the office and help our practice to achieve the goal of delivering the best patient care possible. We also want to assure you that this technology enhances HIPPA (Health Insurances Portability and Accountabilty Act) standards by increasing security.
